COURSE OUTLINES:
ICDL CAD has now been introduced to South African shores. Growth and development is prominent in South Africa and with the introduction of an internationally recognized CAD qualification, the possibilities are endless!
WHAT IS IT:
ICDL CAD is the leading independent international standard for core skills in 2D computer-aided design. Developed by the ICDL Foundation in consultation with a working group of CAD professionals and leading industry experts, ICDL is an internationally recognized certification.
WHO IS IT FOR:
It is aimed at second and third level students and professionals working in the architectural, engineering and construction sectors who wish to certify their 2D CAD skills to an independent international standard.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Candidates who successfully complete the ICDL CAD certification will be able to demonstrate to an international standard with a comprehensive knowledge of core 2D CAD skills: To create, manipulate and modify objects or elements To change object properties To undertake printing or plotting activity associated with delivery of outputs.
COURSE OUTLINE:
TRAINING Successful ICDL CAD candidates will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the following features within common 2D CAD applications: Navigating using tools and views Using layers and levels Drawing exchange – export drawings in different file types & import other files Creating objects and elements e.g. lines, rectangles, arc, polygon, hatch etc Using selection tools Manipulate objects and elements, e.g. copy, move, delete, rotate, scale, mirror, stretch, offset, explode, extend Using inquiry commands e.g. to measure distances, angles, and areas Using ZWCAD 2D & 3D software, compatible with all existing CAD drawings TESTING The testing will be conducted at Networx Learning & Assessment Center.
